COLORADO SPRINGS — The 18th-ranked Utah women's basketball team hits the road after a week with no games, taking on Air Force today at 2 p.m. at Clune Arena.
The Utes are 17-2 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the Mountain West Conference, while the Falcons are just 3-15 and 0-5 in league play.
It should be a breeze for the Utes, who are 5-0 lifetime against Air Force, but Ute coach Elaine Elliott isn't taking that approach.
"There will be no rest for the weary," she said. "We will be back on the road, and right back at it with another tough conference game."
The Utes are expected to start Lauren Beckman (11.8 ppg), Amy Ewert (9.6), Kristina Andersen (9.6), Lindsay Herbert (8.6) and Kelsey Stireman (5.9). Sophomore Morgan Bennett leads the Falcons with a 10.6 average.
