It's a good thing Larry Storch doesn't have to work with any real horses in the Broadway production of "Annie Get Your Gun."

Storch said he had enough trouble with horses while working on the 1960s Western sitcom "F Troop."

"Nobody knew that I was scared to death of horses — scared to death of 'em. I had to have them tranquilize me before I got on my horse," he told AP Radio. "The nightmare was to have the horse run away with me, and I couldn't stop him. Don't you know the nightmare came true? First day of shooting he ran off with me, and they found me over a hill."

The 78-year-old actor-comedian plays Sitting Bull in the Broadway musical that stars Reba McEntire.
