Clara Mayhew Burton, wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother died

peacefully in her sleep on Feb 5, 2001.

Born March 22, 1912 to Walter Franklin and Nellie May Abbott Mayhew in Duchesne County, Utah. Her marriage

to Austin McMillan (Mac) Burton on Aug. 5, 1932, was solem-nized in the Salt Lake Temple.

They

lived in Talmage, Utah and raised seven children there until 1955 when they moved to Mur-ray, and then made a final move to Bennion in 1958 where they made their home. She enjoyed singing, crocheting, canning, gardening, quilting, cooking, and visiting with family and friends. She served in many church callings and in later years served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed the company of her friends there.

Preceded in death by her sweetheart, Mac; her parents; brothers: Walter, Lawrence, and Ralph Mayhew; a sister, Pearl M. MacDonald; grandson, Lance; and a daughter-in-law, Elaine.

Survived by her children: Jenean (Don) Evans, Vada (Adolf) Huber, Millan G. Burton, Austin (Kay) Burton, Ralph (Sherry) Burton, Debra (Larry) Mackay, and Clyde (Marla) Burton; 30 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchil-dren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude and love for those special people who have given service and cared for her over the past 11 years.

At peace, at last!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Bennion Utah Stake Center, 6250 South 2200 West, where friends may call Saturday, 9-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Arrangements under the

direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
