This summer when you pick up a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, you might see the face of 11-year-old Jacob McCann of North Ogden looking back at you. McCann made an innovative video that helped him capture a spot as a Blue Box Kid in the fourth annual "I Want the Blues!" contest. He and 11 other children were chosen from nearly 12,000 entrants who wrote poems or stories, drew pictures or made a video expressing why they like Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.
Jacob's video showed a hungry "claymation" character choosing the Kraft product over another brand, diving head-first into the bowl and gobbling it all up. He received a $10,000 scholarship and a family trip to Florida, where the winners were honored Thursday at SeaWorld Orlando. His parents are Bradley and Gloria McCann.
In addition to the top 12 winners, 48 finalists received a year's supply of macaroni and cheese.
