4A boys basketball — Wednesday scores

Quarterfinal games in the 4A high school boys state basketball tournament being played Wednesday at Weber State University:

Bountiful 68, Pleasant Grove 38

OGDEN — The Bountiful Braves hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter - three by Ben Murdock and two by Matt Blood, and never looked back, beating the Vikings by 30 points.

Jeff Jensen led the Braves with 22 points, while Blood and Murdock

finished with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

The Braves (22-1) hit 10-of-17 3-pointers and were 14-for-16 from the

foul line.

The Vikings (15-8) were held to just 29 percent shooting for the game.

Cameron Patch led the Vikings with nine points.

The Braves play the winner of Lone Peak and Sky View Friday at 4:10 p.m.

Sam Burgess hit a bucket with 1:10 left in overtime that was good enough for the Knights to knock off the undefeated Bobcats.

Taylor Risher, who hit a big 3-pointer with 2:49 left, hit a pair of foul shots with 10 seconds left to account for the three-point margin.

Olympus 86, Logan 81

Craig Walton scored 24 points on five 3-pointers and Brandon Miller added 19 more as the Titans (18-4) held off Logan (19-4).

The Titans didn't take the lead until late in the fourth quarter, but managed to hold the Grizzlies at bay from the foul line.

Olympus got offensive help from Lance Wallin and Russ Erickson, who had 14 points each.

Chad Fairbanks led the Grizzlies with 24 points and Jared Lowe had 23. Michael Bennet had 14.

The Titans play the winner of Timpview and Fremont Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

Jared Jensen scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Silver Wolves ousted the defending champion Thunderbirds.

The two teams traded the lead in the first quarter before Fremont's Adam Beus buried a 3-pointer to give the Silver Wolves the lead for good at 16-14.

Dane Runia led the Thunderbirds with 20 points, Jake Moon added 14 and

Kyle Roberts had 10.
