MOUNT OLIVE, N.J. — Five family members were killed after a fire ripped through their New Jersey home.
A grandmother, her son and three of his children visiting for the weekend died Sunday in the blaze, which grew so fierce it initially drove back firefighters.
Capt. Christopher Linne, a spokesman for the Morris County Prosecutor's office, said officials had not determined a cause of the fire by Sunday afternoon, and were unable to rule out arson.
Linne said the home belonged to Anna Vokoun, 69. Her son, Glen Vokoun, 45, also lived there after becoming estranged from his wife. His children, Jessica, 12; Danielle, 10; and Glen Jr., 8, were visiting for the weekend.
All five were found dead, huddling near a window in a bedroom on the upper floor of the split-level home.
