OREM — A major donor to Utah Valley State College has been appointed to the school's trustee board.
Dan Campbell, managing general partner of EsNet, a real estate holding company that gave 16 acres worth $2.4 million to the school in 1997, was appointed to the board this month by Gov. Mike Leavitt.
"His knowledge of the community, the college and its programs will be a great asset as a trustee," said UVSC President Kerry D. Romesburg.
Campbell, a graduate of Brigham Young University, has also been a partner with Price Waterhouse, chief financial officer for WordPerfect Corp., board member of the Provo City Power Board and Provo Business Development Council and is serving on the advisory council for BYU's business college.
He also has served on UVSC's foundation board.
"UVSC is becoming more and more an integral part of our community as it grows to meet the needs of this area," he said. "I am excited to be a part of a college that broadens opportunities for students to stay in this valley and receive a quality education."
