GLENWOOD, Utah- <! > Shelly Curtis Kuykendall, 29, of Glenwood, Utah, returned home to her Heavenly Father, March 12, 2001, at Utah Valley Regional Hospital in Provo after a lifelong strug-gle with diabetes.
She was born Feb. 19, 1972, in Beaver, Utah, to Dent and Kathleen Cooper Curtis.
Shelly has always loved little children and was so happy when Brandi came into her life, and was so thrilled when her Heavenly Father sent her a little miracle, her John.
When growing up she enjoyed camping and four-wheeling. She was a good little softball player. We will remember Shelly's bubbly personality, cute giggle and sweet smile.
Shelly attended Richfield High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her son, John Adam Kuykendall and daughter, Brandi Kuykendall, both of Cortez, CO; parents, Dent and Kathleen Curtis, Glenwood; brother, Alan (Heidi) Curtis, Glenwood; sisters, Melani (Troy) Showell, Tooele; Angie (Scott) Anderson, Sigurd; Stephanie Curtis, Venice; one niece, five nephews and Shelly passed one little nephew on her way back to heaven as he came to join the Curtis family; grandmother, Ophelia Cooper, Panguitch.
Shelly's family wants to thank and commend the Utah Valley Doctors and staff for the genuine love and caring they showed during Shelly's many stays at their hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Gerald Stephanz and Dr. Nancy Ahlstrom.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel in Glenwood on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
