Obituary: Marilyn Rasmussen Graehl

Born Oct. 17, 1927 to Lorin Neils Rasmussen and LeIsle Phillips Rasmussen in Salt Lake City, Utah and peacefully went back to her Father in Heaven March 10, 2001. She was a loving, sweet, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

She married her sweetheart, Alvin Paul Graehl July 8, 1946 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was devoted to her and lovingly cared for her. She loved her family and enjoyed reunions and family togetherness. Birthday cards were always sent to all she loved. Many will miss her beautiful music and the tapes she made for Christmas. She was proud of her heritage and we will remember her always for the love and devotion she gave to her own mother.

She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and held many leadership positions. She willingly served her Lord. She's been an example to all of us. Visiting teaching was one of her top priorities.

Survived by husband; seven children: Thomas (Marie), Mark (Laraine), Sally Thomas (Reed), David (Angie), Libbie Evans (Mike), Karen Lewis (Glen), Jim (Melissa); 18 adored and loved grandchildren, four great-grand-children, and her brothers and sisters.
