Jared Sanders, local landscape artist will be featured in an article in the April issue of Southwest Art magazine. Sanders is represented by the A Gallery in Salt Lake City. He is also represented by the Mountain Trails Gallery in Jackson, Wyo., Sedona, Ariz., Santa Fe, N.M., and Park City.
The University of Utah Graduate School of Architecture presents author Leonard Shlain speaking on his book "The Alphabet Versus the Goddess: The Conflict Between Word and Image" on Thursday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m., in the Languages and Communication Building on campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.
The Salt Lake Art Center will host another in its series of Art Talks this Wednesday, March 21, from 7-8 p.m. The speaker will be Koichi Yamamoto, Utah State University professor of art. Yamamoto will discuss his large-scale prints on display in the Street Level Gallery.
A Photo Gallery, 307 W. 200 South, will extend Jeff Scott's exhibit, "Vanishing America," through March 30. The gallery will then close, leaving the smaller West Wing portion of the gallery space open for limited exhibitions. The remainder of the gallery will be devoted to supplies for inkjet printers.
