Obituary: Frederick Rudolph DeBies Jr. "Rudy"

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend, age 44, passed away Sat. March 10, 2001, after a valiant fight with lung cancer, although he never smoked.

Born Nov. 5, 1956 in Salt Lake City, UT to Frederick R. and Elizabeth J. DeBies Sr. He graduated from Granger High School in 1975. He married Crystal Kirby, SLC, UT Nov. 8, 1986 later divorced. He worked at Lotec/COI Ceram-ics Inc. for many years and was very committed to his job.

Rudy's hobbies were genealogy, photography, and collecting DVD's and CD's. He had a passion for computers, electronics, and just fixing things. He was devoted to his family and was a very strong and independent person. He was dedicated to his church and baptized on his 44th birthday Nov. 5, 2000 at Calvary Baptist Church, where he attended since he was a child.

Rudy had unconditional love for his family and dedication to all. He was the type of person who always did things for others and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone at anytime. Whenever there was something that needed to be done, Rudy could be counted on with his dependability and promptness. Rudy is dearly loved by his family and will be truly missed!
