Jeffrey Kay Riley, 47, passed away March 8, 2001. He died peacefully at home in California following a valiant and courageous fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease).
He was born May 13, 1953 in Bountiful to Glen Kay and Adarene Boulton Riley.
Jeff graduated from Bountiful High, worked at Hill Field, then moved to California. He was employed with Lockheed for 22 years where he was project manager for various airplane and special projects, most notable "Operation Blessing", a flying hospital. Jeff traveled extensively throughout the world in his career.
He was married to Jodie Owens (Riley) with whom he had a son, T.J. They were later divorced. He married Cinthia Hammill (Riley) and had a daughter, Shaylyn. They were later divorced. Jeff is the fourth of six sons.
He is survived by his mother, Adarene
Boulton Riley, Bountiful; brothers: Hal B. (MaryLyn), Kirt B. (JoAnne) Kaysville; Demar B. (Linda), Gary G. (Susan), and Doyle R. (Tracy) Farmington; son, T.J. (Talia), Bountiful; and daughter Shaylyn, West Hills, California.
Special thanks to Jacqueline Garrett whose unconditional love in Jeff's behalf will never be forgotten. He will long be remembered for his zest for life and charismatic smile.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 12, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 650 South 200 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Sunday evening, March 11, 2001 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and again Monday morning from 10 - 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
