SOFTBALL: A day after losing two one-run games, the BYU softball team rebounded to win its final two games in pool play, beating San Jose State 5-0 and Mississippi 6-0 Friday on the second day of the Sacramento State Capital Classic in Sacramento, Calif.


BASEBALL: The Utes' home opener against Air Force on Friday was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday at Franklin Covey Field starting at noon. The third game of the series will be played on Sunday as scheduled at 1 p.m.

SOFTBALL: The Aggies broke an 11-game losing streak Friday, upsetting 7th-ranked Fresno State 4-1 in the second day of the Cal-State Fullerton-hosted Kia Klassic. The Aggies are now 4-14 on the year.

Utah State recorded a season-high 14 hits.
