Obituary: William R. McQuaid

William R. "Bill" McQuaid was lucky enough to return home, St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2001.

Born June 18,1919 to Albert Patrick McQuaid and Marguerita Metras. Married Margaret Jane Smith, August 17, 1945. Bill was staff sergeant in the 276th Signal Company. He served in the Aleutian Islands, New Guinea, and the invasion of the Philippines at Luzon.

He is survived by his wife, son Kelly (Lynn) McQuaid, daughters Ginger (Jeff) Beck, Margo (Udo) Bathelt, grandchildren Kelly, Emily, Rory, Che', Sheena, Ian, Kelli, Krista, Bret, four great grandchildren, a sister Helen Moore, brother-in-law Doug (Dorothy) Smith, sisters-in-law Jeane Humphries, Janice (Barry) Fisher. Preceded in death by brothers Joe and Al; and sisters Mary Campbell, and Pat Harr.

Funeral services will be held Wed, March 21,2001 at 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home 4330 S. Redwood Rd. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to services and from 6-8 p.m. on Tues evening. Funeral directors: McDougal Funeral Home.
