Fourteen people returning from a youth church trip in Idaho were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after their van rolled Sunday.
The accident happened about 1:30 p.m. after the van's right rear tire separated from its tread and caused the van to roll into the median, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Doug McCleve said.
No one was ejected from the van during the accident, which occurred as the vehicle drove east on I-84, more than 20 miles north of Tremonton.
The van was carrying 14 people from the First Baptist Church in Brigham City, McCleve said.
All the passengers, including the 20-year-old driver, were taken to Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton with minor injuries, McCleve said.
Six of the people in the van were wearing seat belts, according to McCleve.
McCleve said excessive speed was not a factor in the accident.
