Waterford 62, Green River 61, OT

Waterford has 21 victories in 2000-01, but none as exciting as its most recent one as the Ravens scored five unanswered points in the last 20 seconds, all by junior Jake Reynolds, to advance to the state semifinals over the Pirates.

Reynolds hit a layup with 26 seconds left to cut the lead to 61-59. After a pair of missed Green River free throws, Reynolds took the ball the length of the court and hit an acrobatic layup as the buzzer sounded. He was fouled on the play and made the free throw with the lanes cleared and no time on the clock to secure the win.

Reynolds, who finished with 15 points to lead his team, also hit a 3-pointer to force the overtime.

The Bobcats went on a 10-0 run just before the half to capture a 28-20 halftime lead and romped from there on out.

Devin Englestead led Panguitch with 16 points and was one of nine players to score for PHS, who advanced to the state semifinals and improved their record to 18-5.

SLC got 17 from Julian Larry including a couple of impressive spin move layups, but it wasn't enough as the Dragonslayers drop to the consolation bracket.

Altamont 43, Tabiona 42

With Tabiona ahead 39-38 in the game's final minute, Altamont's Joey Meeks scored and was fouled. His three-point play gave the Longhorn's their first lead since the first quarter, and a pair of free throws by Tate Sorensen made it stick.

The Tigers' Logan Gines hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to one, and Tabiona had a half-court shot at the buzzer, but it was an airball. Altamont (19-6) now plays Panguitch (6 p.m.) in the 1A semifinals. Tabiona, 20-4, plays a consolation game at 4:30 p.m.
