4A boys basketball — Friday scores

Semifinal games in the 4A high school boys state basketball tournament being played Friday at Weber State University:

Olympus 36, Fremont 34

Russ Erickson hit a layup as time expired to lift the Titans to the victory over the Silver Wolves.

Fremont's Jared Jensen led all scorers with 25 point, while Dan Young led the Titans with 12 points. Erickson finished with nine.

The Titans (19-4) play the winner of Lone Peak and Bountiful Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. for the state championship.

Lone Peak 83, Bountiful 66

Taylor Risher scored 24 points, on five of six shooting from three-point range and teammate Sam Burgess added 22 more as the Knights knocked off No. 2 Bountiful (22-2).

Jeff Jensen led all scorers with 30 points and Matt Blood had 15 for the Braves.

The Knights (17-7) will play Olympus for the 4A championship Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Neither team has won a state basketball championship.
