Obituary: Louise Stoker Erickson

Margaret Louise Stoker Erickson, age 78, passed away March 19, 2001 following a lingering illness.

Born May 6, 1922 in Ogden, Utah to Niels Michael and Martha Olivia Stringer Stoker. Married Lawrence V. Erickson on February 15, 1946 in Coalville, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary and Cub Scouts. Louise grew up in the Liberty Park Ward and graduated from South High School. She was President of the Ladies of the Guard, and was an artist. Louise retired from Aird Insurance Agency.

Survivors: husband, daughters: Judith (Marvin) Shewell, Sharon (Darin) Hansen; sons: Michael W. (Bente) Erickson, Steven D. (Connie) Erickson; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister: Esther Stoker Jorgensen.

Preceded in death by a son Lawrence Lee Erickson, parents, two sisters, Ruth Lang, Olivia Rice, and a brother, Edwin Stoker.

Funeral services Fri. 11 a.m., Mar. 23, 2001 at the Butler 10th Ward, 6634 S. Greenfield Way (1920 E.). Friends may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Fri. one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
