11 counties offer free diabetes test

Utah health-care providers and pharmacies throughout the state are offering free diabetes testing through the end of March as part of Diabetes Alert.

Area hospitals, medical centers, Wal-Marts, grocery stores and pharmacies in Salt Lake, Utah, Weber, Washington, Tooele, Summit, Millard, Juab, Davis, Carbon and Beaver counties have teamed up with the American Diabetes Association to provide the free testing, which usually costs between $10 and $20.
