Fay Emma Loveridge Herod, 95, died March 20, 2001 in American Fork, of causes incident to age.

She was born Jan. 31, 1906 in Lehi, Utah, daughter of George C. and Emma Austin Loveridge. She married Robert H. Herod, Oct. 7, 1927 in Los Angeles, California where they made their home for many years. Fay and Robert also lived in Lynnwood and in Escondido.

Following the death of her husband, she returned to Lehi and for the past few years has resided in American Fork at the Beehive Group Home.

While her husband was in the Navy during World War II,

she worked as a waitress.

She and her husband were interested in lapidary and traveled extensively on rock hunting expeditions.

They were also active supporters and life-time members of the San Diego Zoological Society and Fay did volunteer work delivering Meals on Wheels to shut-ins in the Escondido area. She was active in Women's Clubs and served in many leadership positions in Los Angeles and Escondido.

She is survived by one sister, Muriel Baker, Silver Star, Montana, half-bother, Leo H. Loveridge, Lehi;

half-sister, Lorna Farner, Brigham, City.

Friends and family may call Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Mar. 29, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California where interment will take place.
