Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was reunited with her loving husband Jim on the first day of spring, March 20, 2001.
She was born on January 2, 1908 in Manti, Utah to Fredrich and Margaret May Domgaard Kammermann. She graduated from the LDS Academy in Salt Lake City. She was an accomplished homemaker, gracious hostess and national award-winning cook.
She married the man of her dreams, James Willis Whitehead, on April 3, 1929 in The Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their family in California returning to Salt Lake City in 1973. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, devoted to her Savior, rendering selfless aid and comfort to all. Her entire life centered around Her family whom she loved dearly.
Preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter Lynn Whitehead Kasteler, four brothers and three sisters.
Survived by children; James B. (Pauline) Whitehead; Margaret Lou (Charles) Moore; Joan (Blaine) Twitchell; Christie Ann Peo; 23 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday March 23, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates 3115 East 7800 South, and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Funeral services will be on Saturday March 24, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Brighton 4th Ward, corner of 2300 East and Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
