Barbara Louise Simper completed her journey here March 19, 2001 at 4:20 p.m. after a valiant struggle with cancer.

She was born January 14, 1951 in Nuremberg, Germa-ny, to John W. and Mary S. Simper. She attended schools in Murray, College of Eastern Utah, and the University of Utah. Barbara was an avid reader. She had an incredible thirst for knowledge. She found much joy in gardening, rock collecting, camping, singing, photography and puzzles of all kinds. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Barbara leaves behind many dear and well-loved family members and friends. These include her parents, John and Mary; sisters, Linda (David) Plouzek, Robyn K. Simper, Christine Williams; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Stephen) Whitchurch, Tiffanie (Kent) Emerson, Corbin (Carla) Plouzek, Cameron (Heather) Plouzek, Damien, Courtnee, Olivia, and Colton Plouzek, Trevor Williams; great-nieces and nephews, Matthew, Gabrielle and Emily Whitchurch, Melanie and Sarah Emerson.

Barbara's family would like to give a special thank you to her doctors and caregivers, Drs. Clark Rasmussen, William Nibley, Greg Litton, Paula Haberman. A special thanks to Hospice for their tender care. A very special thank you to Liz Kearns of IHC, and a heart felt thank you to everyone who provided care for her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, march 24th at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Hall (1140 West 7800 South, West Jordan). Family, friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate her life.

It was Barbara's wish to be cremated.

She goes with our love, and her love stays with us always.
