PROVO — In an effort to gain more control over growth at the municipal airport, the Provo City Council added more amendments Tuesday to the airport master plan.

The new amendments require the mayor to submit a quarterly report on all capital improvement projects to the council.

The airport master plan was approved in September, but the issue resurfaced earlier this month when council members learned Mayor Lewis Billings had refused to sign a resolution that would require the council to approve any capital improvement at the airport that exceeds $30,000. The council passed a revision of the resolution in ordinance form at its March 6 meeting.
