The Marriott School at Brigham Young University will hold its fourth annual Microenterprise Conference April 5-7.
This year's theme, "Practical Approaches to Ending Poverty," will bring together educators, investors and non-governmental organizations from around the world.
The free conference, believed to be the largest of its kind, is open to the public. The conference will be held in room 3224 of the Wilkinson Student Center on campus.

The Timpanogos Chamber Orchestra and Timpanogos Prep Orchestra will present their Spring Concert, Thursday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mountain Ridge Junior High School auditorium, 5525 W. 10400 N.
The Chamber Orchestra is composed of advanced string players, who range in age from 12 to 18. They will perform Grieg's Holberg Suite, Serenade by Mozart, Rakastava by Silbelius, and Meditation by Suk. Members of the Prep Orchestra are elementary and junior high school string players from throughout Utah Valley. They will perform works by Brahams, Mahler and Mozart.
The concert is free to the public. Families are encouraged to introduce their older children to original classical music performed by some of the finest young string players in the area.
The SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre will hold auditions for its summer production of the musical "Hello Dolly" directed by Jerry Elison.
The show will run June 14-25 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
All parts are open, including Dolly. Auditions will be Thursday, April 12 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to noon in room B1 in the SCERA Center, 745 South State. Men and women ages 16 and older are invited to audition for the 10 leads and 25 ensemble roles, and should prepare 16 measures of a Broadway-style song.

Area 53 Toastmasters will compete in a speech contest Saturday, April 7 at 9 a.m. at Klune Industries, 300 W. 1800 North.
Witness Toastmasters, who are becoming professional in public speaking, compete for the Area 53 Title in the International Speech and Table Topics Contest.

A series of master plans to improve the city's sewer, storm drains, water and streets won City Council approval Tuesday.
The plans will guide development in both the older and newer sections of town, including developing lands to the west. The city hired consultants from Aqua Engineers, J-U-B Engineers and Horrocks Engineers, who identified deficiencies in the city's infrastructure and determined what will be needed for the future.
