PROVO — Tyler Perry tied a school record with two triples and hit a pair of doubles Thursday against Air Force in BYU's 20-7 victory.

In his first at bat, Perry fouled off two pitches on a one-two count for an RBI triple with no outs to tie the score at one-all in the six-run third inning. He scored when Ty Haguewood worked a full count to double down the right field line for two RBI.

The Falcons had taken a 1-0 lead in the second when Gerremy Goldsberry scored after a pair of singles. Goldsberry also hit a solo home run to lead off the sixth.

After Perry and company finished the second inning, Nate Fernley had a 6-1 lead and surrendered five more hits to earn his eighth victory of the season against one loss.

Fernley struck out three Falcons in his six innings after escaping the second inning with a double play. He left the game with a 16-3 lead.
