Bobby D. Chivers died March 20, 2001, following a short illness.
He was born on January 8, 1928, in Lonoke, Arkansas, to Floyd and Lennie Chivers. He was the youngest of eight boys.
He married Lola Udall on June 6, 1951.
Later their marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Bobby was a Union Bricklayer and served as Business Agent for fifteen years.
He received his Gold Union Card for 50 years of service. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. He was an active member and High Priest of the LDS Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Rusty Chivers.
He is survived by his wife, Lola, Lehi; his two sons, Scott Chivers and Clay
(Kim) Chivers, Provo; and his daughter, Jill (David) Timpson, Alpine. He is also survived by his brother, Dan (Minnie) Chivers, Lonoke, AR.; brothers-in-law, Leonard "Gus" Udell, Robert Udell, and Kent Udell; sisters-in-law, Cheri Udell Robinson, Christine Udell Evans, and Kathryn Udell McCarrie. Bobby was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Everyone loved Bobby for his wry sense of humor, and genuine affection for people.
We love you Bobby and we will miss you deeply.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24, 2001, at 12 noon in the Lehi 19th Ward Chapel, 145 E. 1500 No.
Friends and family may call at the church Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday one hour prior to services.
Interment, Lehi City Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Directors, Wing Mortuary, Lehi.
