SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man was shot in the leg Friday morning outside an apartment complex, 3687 S. West Temple.
Police were notified by St. Mark's Hospital that a man had been driven to the emergency room just before 8 a.m.
The shooting may be gang related, South Salt Lake police officer Darin Sweeten said. Investigators were having a hard time gathering information Friday because witnesses and the victim weren't being cooperative, he said.

The man told police he was first hit in the back of the head outside the apartment and then shot in the back of the leg as he was running away.
