HEBER CITY / SUNNYSIDE, UT - <! > Thomas R. McCourt, age 86, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001 in Heber City, Utah.

Born July 7, 1914 in Cameron, UT to Goldie Celestia Bromley and Thomas Henry McCourt. Married Gertrude E. Marshall Aug 25, 1934. Gertrude preceded him in death April 1988. He worked for Kaiser Steel Company at Sunnyside for over 30 years where he was superintendent. In 1970 Tom moved to Heber City. He worked on the Central Utah Water Project as Safety Engineer and Medic. Tom became an EMT at the age of 73 where he worked for Wasatch County Medical Service for over five years.

Survivors include his children, Pat (John) Mathis, Salt Lake City; Valene (Larry, deceased) Jensen, Midway; Lorretta (Mario) D'Amico, Draper; Max (Patti) McCourt, Ferron; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grand-chil-dren; three great great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Peterson, Price, Nora Bunch, Scottsdale, AZ; brothers, Ivan (Lois) McCourt, Columbia; Ned (Reon) McCourt, Wellington, Pat (Charlette) McCourt, Las Vegas, NV. Also survived by very special friend, Enid Foy and family. Preceded in death by wife, Gertrude; one grandson, and one great-granddaugh-ter.

Services will be Tues. March 27, 2001, 1 p.m. in the Heber 4th Ward Chapel, 176 W. 500 S, Heber City. Friends may call Mon. March 26, 6-8 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 N. Main St, Heber City, and Tues. 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment, Midway City Cemetery.
