The Utah Watercolor Society has awarded Ruth Pruitt "Best of Show" in its exhibit at the Glendinning Gallery, 617 E. South Temple. Other winners are: First place, Bates Brian; second place, Jodie West; third place, Rebecca Livermore; and Awards of Merit to Sheryl Thornton, Steve Sheffield, Jerry Black and Shirley McKay.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is showing "Shifting Tides: Cuban Photography After the Revolution" through July 1. The exhibit explores the vitality of Cuban photography since Fidel Castro took over the country.

The Salt Lake Art Center will present another in a series of "Art Talks" on Wednesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Jim Edwards.

The University of Utah Graduate School of Architecture and Utah Heritage Foundation will present a lecture by Samuel Isenstadt of the University of Kentucky on "Suitable Units for Postwar-Preservation." The lecture will be Monday, March 26, in the Salt Lake Main Library lecture hall.
