Maureen Reagan, the 60-year-old daughter of former president Reagan, was released from a hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., after 3 1/2 months of treatment for skin cancer.

She flew home to Sacramento after her release Friday, her husband, Dennis Revell, said in a statement.

She had been expected to remain hospitalized through April but made good progress and instead will continue drug therapy at home over the next 12 months.
