Dr. Victoria Judd has been presented the Linda K. Amos Award for Distinguished Service to Women at the University of Utah for 2001. She is associate dean for admissions, diversity, community outreach, graduate medical education and continuing medical education in the U. School of Medicine.

She also is a pediatric cardiologist and has been cited for improving the admissions process to the medical school, establishing sexual harassment training, facilitating roundtable discussions for women in medicine and implementing a women's health elective at the school.

Linda K. Amos was founding chairwoman of the President's Commission on the Status of Women and is former dean of the U. College of Nursing. She now is a professor of nursing and associate vice president for health sciences. She praised Judd for dedicated service in improving opportunities for women and minorities in the U. Health Sciences Center.
