Deloitte & Touche announced three staff changes at its Salt Lake office. Darin Orr joined the practice as a tax senior manager specializing in international tax. Matt Woolley was hired as a tax manager specializing in tax law. Jodie Hewitson was promoted to tax manager.
Forrest D. McNabb has been promoted to senior vice president of Big-D Construction Corp. McNabb has 20 years of experience in the construction industry. As senior vice president, McNabb will focus on the dairy and food processing industries.
Kirk Bengtzen has joined Menlove Dodge Toyota in Bountiful as new general manager and part owner. Bengtzen is the first equity owner outside the company's founding family. He has 13 years of experience in the automotive industry.

David Wallace has joined Intermountain Spine and Pain Center in Logan. Wallace is a board certified anesthesiologist, qualified to treat patients with chronic pain. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he also was a professor. Most recently, Wallace served as director of anesthesia and pain management at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Miss.
Deer Valley Resort has named Kim Mayhew as its new director of human resources. Mayhew has 19 years of experience at Deer Valley. Her new duties will include employee recruiting, payroll and benefits.
Vela Research, a provider of video compression products for the cable and broadcast industries, has appointed Stefan Lehnert-Batar as director of European sales based in Stuttgart, Germany. Vela Research is based in Clearwater, Fla., and Salt Lake City.

Garth E. Reed, senior auditor for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been awarded a William S. Smith Certificate of Excellence for his performance on the November 2000 Certified Internal Auditor examination. Reed received one of the top five scores on the four-part examination, which in November was administered to about 9,500 candidates in 62 countries.
Lynn Mazure has successfully completed Dr. Bruno Chikly's basic Lymphedema/CDP Certification Program through the Thu Upledger Institute. The certification indicates skill in the application of complex decongestive physiotherapy (CDP) in the treatment of lymphedema. Mazure is a massage therapist at States Chiropractic in Murray.
