Getting a prickly feeling at Marine Science Center

A group of students from Thomas W. Bacchus Elementary, above, take turns holding a sea urchin from the "touch tank" at the new Marine Science Center at Kearns High School Friday. Katie Ellis, left, a Bacchus student, holds a starfish near the tank. The Living Planet Aquarium dedicated its AT&T Broadband Marine Science Center Friday at Kearns High. The hands-on facility allows students to interact with, observe and research exotic sea life. The Living Planet Aquarium, which operates the Aquavan visiting schools across the Wasatch Front, also has marine science centers at Pleasant Grove and Central Davis junior high schools.
