AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) — Two men accused of murder escaped from jail Sunday by beating a pair of guards and jumping out a second-story window, authorities said.

Police caught a third suspect, David Kenneth Christian, 38, who broke his leg after also leaping from the Mower County jail in southeastern Minnesota. Vernon Powers Jr., 28, and Scot Christian, 30, remained at large Sunday night, authorities said.

"We are checking every lead we have to find where they are at," said Sgt. Steve Howard of the county Sheriff's Department.
