Our loving mother, grandmother sister and friend Thelma Horne Fishburn passed away March 24, 2001.
The daughter of George and Re-becca Iasbel Martin Horne was born Aug 6, 1914 in Driggs, ID. Thelma was an active member of the LDS Church holding many positions in the Relief Society and had worked many years in the Family Extraction program of the church. She worked for First Security Bank retiring after 17 years. First and fore-most to Thelma was her family. She enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb with everything she touched. Her love for cooking was enjoyed by all who knew her. She loved sports especially watching basketball.
She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Walter, Earl, Richard, Percy, Helen, and Ruth Horne. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Cheryl) Fishburn; grandchildren, Shane (Carina) Fishburn, Krisanne (Trent) Earnshaw, Brian Fishburn; seven great-grand-children; two sisters, Mildred Swensen, Ruby Johnson; and brother, Robert (Ruth) Horne.
Services will be Wed. March 28, 2001, 2 p.m. in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 E. 7800 S. Friends may call Tues March 27, 2001, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services all at the chapel. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
