Sale of composting bins April 21 at 3 Smith's sites

A special one-day backyard composting bin truckyard sale will be held Saturday, April 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of three Smith's stores.

The "Soilmaker" composting bins will sell for $39, including tax, a $75 value. Bins have a 25-year warranty, weigh 27 pounds and fit into any car for transport.

Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Council is sponsoring the event at the Smith's stores in Midvale, 980 E. Fort Union; Salt Lake City, 900 E. 800 South; and South Jordan, 10300 S. Redwood Road.
