Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, united with her beloved husband Dick March 24th, 2001 at the age of 87.
Mother was born in Gouda, Netherlands. Experiencing two world wars, she shared her remark-able stories and her faith with her children, Dirk, John, and Mieneke.
Later she decided to make a journey to this great land America, where she became a citizen and cherished the natural beauties of her surroundings, which she so enjoyed. She expressed her true devotion of her beliefs with those whom she came in contact with. She gave many a time to the Cancer Society. Through her freewill of contributions she knew it would help to find the cure since her husband has passed on because of this disease.
Survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A Dutch song we would always share relates to Willemina's destination, "Long shall you live in the glory," which was brought from Holland.
Services will be Wed. March 29, 2001, 2 p.m. where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the Millstream LDS Ward chapel, 3450 S 1100 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Internment, Mountain View Memorial Estates (3115 E 7800 S). In lieu of flowers, family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Utah Chapter of The American Cancer Society.
