SALT LAKE CITY, UT--<! > Ellis Lee Jensen, 72, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died March 25, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 23, 1928, in Red-mond, Utah, to Jabez M. and Leda Jensen Jensen. He married Leona Sorenson, June 3, 1955, in Gunnison, Utah. She preceded him in death July 4, 1995.
Ellis graduated from North Sevier High School and attended Utah Technical College.
He was a veteran of the Korean War where he received the purple heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Roger (Kaylynn) Jensen, West Jordan; Ronnie (Yvonne) Jensen, West Valley; Roy (Keller) Jensen, Salt Lake; three grandsons: Scott, Shaun, and Thomas Jensen; brother-in-law, Bobbie (Verda) Sorenson, Gunnison. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Leona.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at 12 noon in the Rose Park 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 1155 North 1200 West, (Boy Scout Drive), in Salt Lake City, where friends call on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery on Wednesday at 4 p.m. with military rites by the Gunnison American Legion Post # 104. Funeral directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary, Salina and Gunnison.
