The Utah Foster Care Foundation has been added to the 2001 Associations Advance America honor roll with two awards for work that often goes unnoticed by the general public.
Sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives, the Foster Family Neighbor Cluster program and the Foster Family Recruitment program of the Utah Foster Care Foundation was recognized with the awards.
The Foster Family Neighbor Cluster program brings together a group of 25 foster and adoptive families who share something in common. The Foster Family Recruitment program has increased the total number of foster families in Utah by 25 percent to more than 1,300. "We're honored to be selected by a national prestigious organization for our service to the community," said Dallis Pierson, Utah Foster Care Foundation president.
