HEBER CITY - <! > Shug Wayne Lamar Clegg, 74, passed away at his home in Heber City, Monday evening, March 26, 2001.
He was born August 27, 1926 in Heber City to Frank and Mary Platt Clegg. He married Ora E. Cossey on March 12, 1948 in Las
Vegas, Nevada. Attended Wasatch High School, started and coached the Little League Basketball and Baseball. Served as the People's Voice on the Heber City Council for 8 years. Worked in the United Park Mine for 29 years, also Utah State Labor Commission as an inspector for many years. He supported the youth of Wasatch County. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War ll.
Survived by his wife Ora of Heber City; children, Thomas W. Clegg of Salt Lake; Tamera (Tony) Pederson of North Dakota; and Linda (Casey) Quint of Kansas; grandchildren, Wendy, Nathan, Dawn L, Terrin, Jacob and BrinDee; brother, Frank Clegg of California; and sister, Ruby Sweat of Heber City.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 12 noon at the Heber 11th Ward, 1365 E. Center. Friends may call on Thursday from
6-8 p.m. at the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Heber City Cemetery with Military Honors.
