Frank A. Campana, 89, of Salt Lake City, died March 26, 2001. He was born Dec. 1, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Emanuel and Josephine

Campana.

He served in World War II. He enjoyed fishing immensely and a better fisherman could not be found. Frank also enjoyed the company of his friends for an early morning cup of coffee. He married Margaret M. Greco on November 28, 1941. Together they had one child, Bette Jo Campana Kirk.

Frank's grandchildren were the sunshine that brightened his day.

He is survived by his daughter, Bette Jo (Wayne) Kirk; sisters, Ernestine C. Carone and Babe (John) Talerico; brother, Louis

Campana; three grandchildren, Angela Jo Kirk, Christopher (Patti) Kirk, and Susie (Brian) Lambrecht; six great-grandchildren and four nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mayne.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 174 East 900 South. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m.

Committal: Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
