Chenda Kol, age 75, passed away March 26, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Chenda was born March 5, 1926 in Takeo, Cambodia to Soth Srey and Nhim Srey. She attended Takeo School. Chenda married Sriev Srey in 1944 in Takeo, Cambodia.
She enjoyed many aspects of life. She loved God, cooking, sewing, singing and most of all, traveling to be with all her family and grandkids.
Throughout her lifetime, she has touched the lives of many people. During the struggles from Cambodia to the U.S., she adopted many children along the way. Many referred to her as their own mother because she was always there to help anyone in need. She will be missed by all her family members and by the many whose lives she had touched.
Chenda is survived by her daughters,
Samoun Srey, Salt Lake City, Sokhara Srey, Austin, Tx, Chansineth Kry, Austin, Texas, Maline Srey, Austin, Texas, Crystal (Chanbory) Ek, Salt Lake City, Sothavy Srey Ek, Seattle
and Chanlekha (Austin) Meaux and son, Chandara Srey, (Germany). Preceded in death by her husband, Sreiv Srey; son,
Tepneavy Srey and daughter, Monineath Srey.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South.
The family will receive friends at viewings, Thursday and Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, and Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. prior to the service.
