Joseph Spencer Taylor, 86, passed away March 28, 2001 at his home in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born December 12, 1914 in Garfield, Utah to Joseph Arnold and Selinda Bringhurst Taylor. Graduated from Cyprus High School in 1933. He served in the CCC from 1934-36, and a LDS mission to the Western States in 1937-39.
Married Doris Dimond in the Salt Lake Temple June 1940; she died January 1966. Married Ardell Rasmussen in Salt Lake Temple in May 1967. He worked as a machinist for KCC for 39 years, retiring in April 1978. He was also active in his local union #392.
He served with Ardell as Welfare Service missionaries in the Laotion Taylorsville Branch starting in 1982. He was ambitious and enjoyed gardening, flowers, homemade ice cream, family trips and outings, and maintaining his cars.
Survived by his wife, Ardell; sons, Robert (Sondra), of VA; Alan (Linda), of CA; Wayne (Carol), of CT; Mark (Chris), of Magna; Don (Suzi), of South Jordan; and Barry (Norma), of ID; brother, Bill (Leone) Taylor, of Holladay; sister, Marjorie (Stan) Jarvis, of
Magna; brother-in-law, Wallace Sadler, of Magna; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; sister, Dorothy Sadler; and granddaughter, Tiffanie Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 31, 2001 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, where friends may call both Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
