The Senior Companion program matches retired seniors with older clients in need of minimal care, companionship or respite.

To participate, companions must be over age 60 and able to give approximately 20 hours per week. Those below a certain income level receive a small tax-free stipend, and all Senior Companions have access to supplemental insurance, help with meal and transportation costs and an annual physical exam. Monthly training sessions are provided.

There is no income-level restriction for those needing Senior Companions.
