Auditions have been scheduled for the following upcoming regional theater productions:
"The Secret Garden" on April 10-11 from 7-9 p.m. at Hillcrest Junior High School, 136 E. 5300 South, for this summer's Murray Arts in the Park production. There are roles for a girl, age 10-14, and a boy, age 8-12, plus other roles for males and females 16 years of age and older. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway song. Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m.-noon, when there will be cold readings from the script. Julie Brough is directing the musical, to be presented June 14-18 in the Murray City Park Amphitheater.
"Hello, Dolly" on Thursday, April 12, from 7-9:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m.-noon, in Room B-1 of the SCERA Center, 745 S. State, Orem. Jerry Elison is directing. All roles are open, including matchmaker Dolly Levi. There are 10 leading roles and 25 ensemble roles. Men and women, 16 years of age and older, are invited to audition. Come prepared with 16 measures of a Broadway-style song. An accompanist and boom box will be provided. Performances will be Mondays and Thursdays-Saturdays, June 14-25.
