Kudos to President Bush for eliminating the American Bar Association from the judicial nomination approval process. The ABA is no longer a nonpartisan group representing lawyers and is in fact a left-wing political activist group that has passed resolutions in favor of abortion and eliminating capital punishment.

Mrs. Barnett, a spokeswoman for the ABA, stated this week she is concerned that politics was displacing informal legal decisions in the nomination process of judges. What a ridiculous statement in view of the ABA's partisan political positions of the recent past.
