THESSALONIKI, Greece (AP) — Two men using a crossbow to shoot drugs over a prison wall were arrested by police and charged today with narcotics trafficking, authorities said.

Police had been staking out the Diavata prison in this northern port city after wardens discovered small bags of heroin and hashish hanging from barbed wire atop the wall surrounding the penitentiary.

"The arrows were reaching the courtyard of the prison and were being picked up by inmates during their break," said Brig. Giorgos Kokkinis, chief of the Thessaloniki security police.
