The U.S. House of Representatives was listening to the American people when it passed President Bush's tax relief plan.
Bush's plan for tax relief is pure common sense. Everyone who pays income taxes gets relief. The plan meets key budget priorities, pays down the debt and helps families put aside more money for their children's future and for those unexpected things that life seems to throw a family's way — car repairs, a new roof, medicine.
I hope our senators are listening, too. I've sent enough money to Washington over the years, and I'm ready for my refund.
