Singer Mike Love has big plans for The Beach Boys' 40th anniversary — but they're floating among the stars.
"I want to do a tour that would touch down in every one of the 50 states," he told AP Radio. "I always have ideas, but I'm a Pisces, so sometimes, I take my sweet time gettin' those ideas done."
Now 60, Love said he doesn't mind playing the group's old hits after all these years. "Playing 'California Girls' and getting a standing ovation years after you did the song in the first place, it's pretty cool. I mean, what's so bad?" he said, laughing.
"We've traveled around the world, seen many, many interesting places and met many more interesting people than we would if we'd have just stayed in Southern California and done real estate or insurance or whatever."
