BOSTON — Austin Croshere hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 38 seconds left on his way to a career-high 32 points Friday night as the Indiana Pacers beat Boston 92-87 and pulled even with the Celtics in the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Paul Pierce scored 23 and had nine rebounds, and Antoine Walker had 20 points for Boston, which had won four consecutive games. The Celtics have not made the playoffs since 1995, their last year in the Boston Garden.

Jalen Rose scored 25 points and Jermaine O'Neal added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers, who had lost eight of their last nine road games.

Indiana has won seven of its last eight games in Boston.

76ERS 102, WARRIORS 89: Allen Iverson had 35 points and a career-high 11 rebounds as Philadelphia won for just the second time in eight games.

Iverson had nine assists, leaving him one short of his first triple-double.

Tyrone Hill scored a season-high 21 points on 9-for-10 shooting and had 14 rebounds.

The victory gave Philadelphia 50 wins for the first time since 1989-90.

Antawn Jamison led the Warriors with 32 points. Vonteego Cummings had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

RAPTORS 110, NETS 99: Vince Carter scored 27 points and Alvin Williams added a career-high 23 as Toronto extended its winning streak to four games.

Tracy Murray scored 20 for Toronto. Antonio Davis and Jerome Williams each had 13 and Charles Oakley added 10.

Keith Van Horn scored 25 points and Johnny Newman added 20 for the Nets.

NUGGETS 103, HORNETS 96: Nick Van Exel returned from a two-game absence to score 41 points as Denver rallied from a 21-point deficit to earn its 10th road win of the season.

Van Exel, who was sidelined by a back injury, was 7-for-11 from 3-point range, including a game-tying 3 with 3:13 to play and another one to seal the victory with 19 seconds to play.

David Wesley scored 24 points for Charlotte, which dropped its fourth straight game.

PISTONS 100, MAGIC 97: Jerry Stackhouse scored 31 points and Ben Wallace added 14 points and 21 rebounds as Detroit snapped its five-game losing streak and ended its string of 29 straight losses when trailing at halftime.

Joe Smith finished with 11 rebounds and helped Detroit outrebound Orlando 66-46.

Mike Miller led Orlando with 21 points. Tracy McGrady added 18.

SUPERSONICS 94, CLIPPERS 84: Gary Payton scored 28 points as Seattle won for the 10th time in 11 games and kept its playoff hopes alive.

Vin Baker scored 13 points and Rashard Lewis 12 for the Sonics, who won their fourth straight and completed a sweep of their season series against the Clippers.

Michael Olowokandi led Los Angeles with 16 points, and Eric Piatkowski had 15.

TRAIL BLAZERS 96, KNICKS 79: Rasheed Wallace scored 30 points as Portland handed New York its third straight defeat.

Bonzi Wells added 16 points for Portland, which beat every team in the NBA this season for the first time since 1989-90.

Latrell Sprewell had 21 points to lead New York, which fell to fourth place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind idle Miami. The Knicks have lost 11 of 14 on the road.

LAKERS 98, MAVERICKS 89: Shaquille O'Neal went 13-of-17 from the line and scored 35 points as Los Angeles made up for Kobe Bryant's absence with well-balanced scoring to beat Dallas.

The Lakers ended a two-game losing streak, and they haven't lost three in a row since Phil Jackson became their coach before last season.

KINGS 110, TIMBERWOLVES 98: Chris Webber scored 22 points and Scot Pollard had 18 points and 13 rebounds as Sacramento clinched a playoff berth by beating Minnesota.

Sacramento (49-22) won its third game in four days while remaining in front of the Los Angeles Lakers for the Pacific Division lead. The Kings beat the Knicks on Tuesday night and the Lakers a day later while moving closer to their first division title in 22 years.
